One day, while innocently browsing the front page of SA, (or as innocently as anyone can browse this site,) Wreeth made the mistake of clicking on the wrong picture to view. A notice popped up saying it was going to DL and install a prog. Frantically, she tried to ALT + CTRL + DEL so she could force close the browser. Nothin' doin'. Too late.
30 min. later, I had rooted out no less than 904 destructive objects from my PC, all thanks to this happy packet of joy I picked up on Sheezy. I wouldn't have had as much luck if I hadn't had Norton AutoProtect running and several other anti-virus progs installed and ready to go. For those who are wondering, I was using IE when it happened, and after a few reboots and scans, and a little manual deleting, I had it all uprooted. Just be aware of the problem. Pretty sure the virus was from an ad, but that doesn't make it any more fun to deal with.
EDIT: LOL, thought it was gone, IT'S NOT. I'm going to have a lot of fun rooting this whole thing out. Thank you, Sheezy.
This is true; ever since Sheezy's advertisers bombed one of my PCs with a godawful trojan I log in and update about once every 6 mo. I moved to yaoi.y-gallery.net, mostly. It's 18 there. The non-18 stuff is on my picture diary on LJ. :j sry about that, but computer viruses are too much headache for me to risk.
